Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has set sights on signing Jonas Hector and Michail Antonio as cover on the flanks, according to reports.
The Blues boss is believed to be after cover for the duo of Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses who have been impressive so far at wingbacks position.
Reports in the Times claim that Conte has targeted Jonas Hector who can play at left wing-back or a traditional left-back. Initial reports have it that Conte considered moving for the 26-year-old defender has had 25 caps for Germany before signing Alonso from Fiorentina last summer.
Chelsea are also chasing Antonio who is currently the Hammers highest goal scorer with eight goals this season already.
However, the Blues have a stumbling block for the deal to be materialised as it is understood that West Ham will be very reluctant to sell to their London rivals.
Victor Moses and Marco Alonso have been key figures in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation as they won 13 matches in a row and conceded just four goals but Conte wants competition for positions in his squad with the Blues limited options at wingback.
West Ham on the other hand, has suffered in the Premier League, failing to repeat their brilliant form they had last season where they played convincingly and might risk losing their stars to rival clubs.
