Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been in talks with AC Milan star Leonardo Bonucci.

Italian publication Tuttosport, as stated by Goal, suggest that the Italian has spoken to his fellow Italian about his current situation at the San Siro Stadium.

The Ex Juventus defender is thought to be unhappy after AC Milan’s difficult start to the Serie A season.

Despite a hectic summer of big spending, the Serie A giants are heavily struggling in the Italian league and sacked Vincenzo Montella earlier this campaign.

The Italian defender was strongly linked with both Premier League table toppers Manchester City and Premier League Champions Chelsea throughout the summer transfer window, but he decided to remain in the Italian Serie A with the well-being of his son most priority on his mind.

While Leonardo Bonucci’s personal reasons make a transfer very unlikely, AC Milan will also require to offload in the summer window, if they fail to make the UEFA Champions League.

Leonardo Bonucci, who is one of the team’s top earners could be listed among the first to be offloaded if they want to balance their financial records.

According to reports, Arsenal would love to make the Italian defender their replacement for German Per Mertesacker, who is hanging his boots at the end of the campaign.
