Yannick Carrasco

Arsenal lost Danny Welbeck to a career-threatening injury some months ago and he was ruled out of the season.

To this effect, the Gunners manager Unai Emery has been on the lookout for his replacement and he has finally found one, that’s according to reports.

The Mirror are reporting that the former Sevilla manager has picked up interest in Belgian speedy winger Yannick Carrasco who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang.

Carrasco was one of the best players in last year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia and has been a longtime target for many Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United.

Carrasco spent three seasons with Atletico Madrid before his surprise, big-money move to the Asian country.

According to the Mirror, Carrasco is set to return back to Europe and the Gunners are tipped by bookmakers as his next destination.

Speaking to reporters last week concerning speculations over his future, the Belgian winger confirmed his readiness to join a European club this month but he failed to reveal the club’s identity.

However, Arsenal will slug it out AC Milan for the 25-year-old’s signature. The San Siro outfits are in the race to sign the star at the ongoing transfer window.

The Serie A side are desperate to return back to the position they had often occupy some years back, therefore, they are ready to spend big on players whom they believe will help them actualize their dream.

Emery has also revealed his desire to add a winger to his team, hence, this report sounds like one to believe
