Star player Anthony Martial is annoyed with coach Jose Mourinho’s treatment at Manchester United. A new report from France revealed that Martial has been left annoyed by his treatment at the Old Trafford club since the Portuguese tactician took over at the start of the season.
Martial’s entourage are reportedly growing frustrated with his lack of game-time this season as he’s been in and out of Mourinho’s starting XI. In his 13 Premier League appearances this season, the best he could do is to score just two times.
Even though the Frenchman is currently not injured, he has been continuously overlooked by Jose Mourinho and was even dropped for Man United’s trip to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
SFR Sport reported that Martial’s representatives are irritated with Mourinho’s management of the 21-year-old Frenchman.
This season he has struggled for form under Jose, and he was even linked with a January loan move to Sevilla by his agent following his shaky start to the campaign.
However, realistically, we think Martial deserves to be starting each week as he has already proven his talent. Last season, he finished as the club’s top goal scorer. So it’s all just about finding his feet under Mourinho.
Nevertheless, Martial really need to play his part. If he should take a clue from Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s situation at the club, then he should know that working harder will surely give him a place in the team.
