According to reports, Manchester City are ready to offload Eliaquim Mangala to Serie A side Inter Milan.

The Frenchman spent the last campaign on loan at La Liga club Valencia and returned to the Manchester City bench for last weekend’s victory over Premier League new boys Brighton.

But as per Sky Sports, the experienced defender has no future under City manager Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium and is now on the verge of securing a loan transfer to Inter Milan.

The Serie A side needs to replace Jeison Murillo, who is on the verge of joining Valencia to replace the Frenchman.

And it’s said that the City defender has already agreed on personal terms with Luciano Spalletti tutored side ahead of a season-long transfer to the San Siro Stadium.

Should the 26-year-old defender leave the Sky Blues, it means Pep Guardiola will no longer have a back-up for his center backs after commencing the Premier league season with three defenders.

Belgian Vincent Kompany, English John Stones, and Argentine Nicolas Otamendi looked solid at the back on opening day and the City manager may have to spend once again if he wants to continue with the new system.
