Achane’s new deal, which reportedly targeted and surpassed the four-year, $48 million benchmark set by James Cook of the Buffalo Bills, elevates him to the third-highest-paid running back in the NFL. His $17 million annual average salary trails only Saquon Barkley ($20.6 million) and Christian McCaffrey ($19 million), a testament to his perceived value and multifaceted skill set in today’s evolving offensive schemes.
