Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has agreed to join Italian Serie A giants Juventus at the end of the current season.

Premier League leaders Liverpool were one of the numerous European clubs keen to sign the Welshman on a free transfer but it seems like the Italians have won the race to sign him.

Other European heavyweights like Chelsea, Manchester United, AC Milan, AS Roma, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid were all linked with a free transfer move for Ramsey.

The 28-year-old has less than six months left on his contract with the Gunners meaning that he can speak with clubs outside England about a possible free transfer move this summer at the end of his Arsenal contract.

The news of his agreement with Italian giants Juventus was confirmed by the ESPN who cited Sportmediaset as the source.

It was revealed that Aaron Ramsey has already signed a pre-contract agreement with the Old Lady and that his salary of €6.5m annually makes him the second highest player behind last summer’s signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

There’s a possibility that he could leave Arsenal to join Juventus in the current transfer market though that would be dependent on the North London giants because the player has always maintained his readiness to see out the remainder of his Gunners contract until this summer.
