The Carabao Cup will return on Wednesday as Chelsea will play host to Frank Lampard’s Derby County side in the Fourth round.

Both sides have a lot in common, one of which is that Derby County’s coach, Frank Lampard happens to be one of the best players to have ever played at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard in the third round of the Carabao Cup had defeated his former coach, Jose Mourinho’s side, Man Utd and he is hoping to do the same at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

For the first time since Lampard started his coaching career, he will be returning to Stamford Bridge to sit in the opposition dugout and face the team where he won eleven major trophies which include three premier league titles and one Champions League title.

However, Michael Essien, who also played alongside Frank Lampard at Chelsea hinted that the legend will get a huge welcome from fans but he would find it difficult to defeat the Blues.

Essien in a statement said, ”We all know what he did at Stamford Bridge, he is a legend and he is coming home so it will be a big night.”

He disclosed that Frank Lampard will surely be hoping to win ”but it’s not easy at Stamford Bridge.”
