Why United wouldn’t have won City, Gary Neville

A former Man United player Gary Neville is of the opinion that the Red Devils team would not have won the English Premier League defending champions Man City in their Wednesday clash.

The Red Devils fell again by 2-0 at the Old Trafford to make it their seventh defeat in nine games for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Gary Neville stated that he had thought that the Man City team were sloppy in the first one hour of the game but that could not even help his former team because the standard in the Pep Guardiola team is soo high that United players cannot fight.

He noted that the game was a decent one and the result only showcased the gulf in class between the two teams, stressing that the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team have got nothing else than what they were able to produce against Man City.

This, therefore, makes it a must for the former Red Devils forward to storm the coming summer transfer window for more additions if they must compete in the English Premier League and Europe next season.

It has already been hinted that there will be a massive overhaul in the team and the defense has been highlighted as the major issue in the team.
