Manchester United have been told not to worry should star goalkeeper David De Gea eventually leaves with Dean Henderson saying he can fill the gap that would be opened.

Dean Henderson is a Red Devils goalkeeper who is currently having a loan spell with Sheffield United but has hinted he could return after completing his mission of bringing back the Championship club to the Premier League.

He noted that he has been doing his best to attract the attention of his owners but cannot tell if they are looking at his direction for a return back to the Old Trafford.

United are in the crisis of keeping the former Atletico Madrid stopper who is keen on leaving the club having refused to extend his stay at the Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are bent on activating a clause in his contract to have him stay for another one year but that could be disadvantaged for them knowing that the Spanish goalkeeper will leave as a free player and they will not be able to cash in on him.

De Gea is reported to have received offers from Italian champions Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain but favours a move to the Italian side having learnt of their plans for him at the club.
