Tottenham and Arsenal considering 25-year-old defender

Two North London outfits Tottenham and Arsenal are both considering to move in on German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach central defender Matthias Ginter.

Matthias Ginter had earlier shunned a move to Tottenham in 2017 when he was with Borussia Dortmund as it was confirmed that he had received offers from the English Premier League side.

However, the Gunners are now reported to be monitoring the 25-year-old as they hope to have him join the Emirate Stadium in the coming summer transfer window.

The both North London outfits are keen to land new central defenders with the Emirate Stadium side already dipped in defensive crisis in this current campaign. Hence, they seek to find a lasting solution in the coming window with Matthias Ginter.

Arsenal have one of the worst defence amongst the top Premier League sides as they have conceded 36 goals so far this season with shortage of options and the likes of Shkodra Mustafi who seem not to be capable.

The Gunners have lost Rob Holding to injury which makes the Gunenrs boss Unai Emery struggle to select players in that role. But that will be solved if Matthias Ginter is able to accept a move to the Emirate Stadium.
