Why Zaha should be respected amidst United link

Scott Dann has opined that Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha should be respected after he claimeed he is ready to move to a higher level of his career by playing in a big side for Champions League football.

Wilfried Zaha earlier stated last week that he wishes to move ahead from Crystal Palace to a bigger side where he can have a Champions League football as he claims he has worked hard to deserve it.

Meanwhile, he has been linked with a return to the Old Trafford as he continues to fire for the English Premier League side.

Wilfried Zaha has been tipped to be one of the hottest strikers in the English Premier League and has been tipped to succeed at a bigger stage should he land the opportunity.

Scott Dann stated that the player should not be blamed for seeking a move away from Crystal Palace, noting that every other player will want a step forward in his career at one point or the other.

He noted that there are a number of players who do not have the same level of quality as Wilfried Zaha but are at a bigger stage and the player should not be criticized for being ambitious.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

South London club Crystal Palace have turned down a second bid from Manchester United for one of their defenders.

Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been attracting serious interest from Manchester United in recent days.

Apart from Manchester United, other clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea have all been linked with the England junior international.

Chelsea had a strong interest in the 21-year-old right-back but that has cooled down in the past months mainly due to the two-window transfer ban slammed on the Europa League holders though they have appealed against the ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

Manchester United are in pole position to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka after firming up their interest with two separate bids.

The Red Devils submitted a €40m offer including €5m in add-ons last week but it was turned down by Crystal Palace.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have made a second bid for the player.

It was revealed that the Red Devils made a €50m bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka including €15m in add-ons.

Crystal Palace also rejected the bid with the Eagles holding out for €50m without any add-on.

Manchester United have made the signing of a new right-back their top transfer target this summer and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is their preferred candidate.

Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke is facing a fight to save his career at Selhurst Park according to the London Evening Standard.

The ex-Liverpool striker has endured an injury-hit career at Crystal Palace since his transfer in 2016.

Crystal Palace paid around £30m to sign Benteke from newly crowned European champions Liverpool.

The Belgian international was heavily linked with a move to the Chinese Super League during the winter transfer window and those transfer links have resurfaced this summer.

Christian Benteke signed a four-year deal when he joined the Eagles from Liverpool.

The 28-year-old had a superb season in his first campaign as a Crystal Palace player.

Benteke scored 17 goals in all competitions for the South London outfit before his career at Selhurst Park went downhill.

The former Liverpool hitman scored just three goals in his second season as he battled with form and fitness.

Christian Benteke found the back of the net once in his third season (last campaign) as he was ruled out for over four months with a serious knee injury.

The Belgian attacker scored his solitary goal during the Premier League game at Arsenal as Crystal Palace recorded a famous win over the Gunners via a 3-2 victory for the Eagles.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

It is feared that English Premier League outfit Man United are going to miss out on their wish to sign Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka in this summer transfer window.

This is after Crystal Palace named their asking price and it is suggested that it is meant to prise the Red Devils out of a deal for the player.

It is claimed that Crystal Palace has already agreed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka would only leave the club for £70 million and it will not happen for anything less.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reported to be a big fan of the young prospect and will seek for his club to sit on the negotiation table to land the player at all cost.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been impressive with the English Premier League outfit which makes him catch the attention of the Red Devils boss.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed the sum of £100 million to engage in the summer transfer window but it is unclear if he would seek to pay £70 million for the signature of Aaron Wan-Bissaka knowing that a number of signings need to be made.

Already, the Red Devils have secured the signature Swansea star Daniel James.

English Premier League outfit Man United are desperate to bring in a new right fullback in this summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are parting ways with Antonio Valencia while Ashley Young is expected to leave the club as well which makes the need for a new right back at the Old Trafford.

Man United have been following Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and they are reportedly ready to settle for him.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a very important player to Crystal Palace which makes them keen to keep him at the club, but it is unclear if they can hold back from the pressure to let him go.

The latest report has now claimed that Man United have submitted a major offer to Crystal Palace so as to have a deal run through before the end of the summer transfer window

Aaron Wan-Bissaka made his first-team debut for Crystal Palace in February 2018 and has since then had 46 games under his belt across all competition.

He is consistent, brilliant and young, which are the qualities needed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the coming season.

Why United is yet to move in for Crystal Palace right-back

The English Premier League outfit Man United is repeatedly linked with a move for Crystal Palace right full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka but they are yet to make a move for him despite having the summer transfer window opened in England.

Man United are set to do away with legendary players Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia which makes it compulsory to move in for a new right full-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka tipped to meet up with the quality required by the team.

However, it is suggested that the Red Devils are yet to make a move for the star player because they are not convinced he is worth the £50 asking price by Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old had his most impressive performance in the 2018-19 after making 39 appearances to help his team with a mid-table finish, 15 points above relegation.

His performance has seen him in the club’s best player of the season with his ability to intercept and compete for duels.

It is therefore claimed that personal terms have been agreed upon with the player but the fee requested for would be the only barrier to the deal.

Meanwhile, Wan-Bissaka’s contract at Selhurst Park runs until June 2022 and it is suggested that he will not force a move away yet.

Europa League finalists Chelsea will have to contend with the threat of Premier League rivals Manchester United in the quest to sign Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of several players targeted by the Red Devils this summer.

The young English defender was named the Crystal Palace Player of the Season following his impressive performances for the Eagles this season.

Chelsea were said to have targeted him as a long-term replacement for the ever-reliable Cesar Azpilicueta.

David Ornstein revealed that Manchester United want to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka and two other players namely Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Jadon Sancho has light up match venues in the German Bundesliga this season and English clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are keen to bring him back to England this summer.

The 19-year-old had earlier left Premier League champions Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

David Ornstein revealed that Jadon Sancho is having reservations about joining Manchester United due to the lack of Champions League football.

Manchester United won’t play Champions League football next season after they could only finish in sixth position at the end of the Premier League season.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is certain that the club will be able to keep star player Wilfried Zaha at Selhurst Park beyond this summer.

In his latest interview as monitored by Goal, Roy Hodgson told reporters that his prized asset his going nowhere despite the heavy transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Eagles when the transfer window reopens this summer.

Zaha has been touted as a possible transfer addition to several European clubs including Chelsea who could be looking for a replacement for wantaway forward Eden Hazard.

Belgian international Hazard has one year left on his current deal at Chelsea but he’s willing to sign a new contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid planning a summer move for him.

Ivorian international Zaha could be a direct replacement for the aforementioned Hazard if Chelsea manage to overturn the two-window transfer ban hanging over their head for dealings with footballers under the age of 18.

The ban was slapped on Chelsea by world football’s governing body FIFA.

Former Manchester United attacker Zaha has also been linked with a return to Old Trafford as well as other clubs like German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, Italian Serie A club Inter Milan as well as French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

How Crystal Palace exposed Arsenal

Shkodran Mustafi

It has been claimed that the defeat suffered by North London outfit Arsenal against Crystal Palace has exposed the problem with the Arsenal team as the defence could not stop Wilfried Zaha from causing damage to the team.

This goes to say that there is a high level of imbalance in the Arsenal team as the signs have been glaring for all to see over the season but this time Shkodran Mustafi was caught in the act as he committed a number of blunders.

The social media have been buzzing over the former Valencia defender and his performance with many calling for his exit from the club while others claim he should be held responsible for the defeat.

Shkodran Mustafi is seen to be very slow and not able to meet up with the firing pace of the Crystal Palace attack and that was a major reason why the Gunners attack was well exposed.

However, it is expected that the Spanish boss will do justice to that by ensuring the signature of new defenders that will help to correct the flaws of the team this season.

Unai Emery has already given the hint on transfer activities but there are fears that the budget could be small for him to execute good deals.

North London outfit Arsenal suffered a major setback in their bid to secure a top-four finish as they were defeated by Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Unai Emery side still remains fourth in the Premier League table but a win against Crystal Palace could have fired them a step forward to the third position on the log table.

However, there are suggestions that a lot of lessons have been learned by the Gunners boss from the defeat going by his speech in the post-match interview.

The former PSG boss hailed the impressive performance of Crystal Palace stars Wilfred Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, noting that they are very good players and are still improving in addition to helping their team win games.

Unai Emery hinted that Arsenal could learn from them and he could now have some of his young players promoted to playing in the first team because the club has got a number of them in the academy while others are currently on loan.

Meanwhile, the likes of Emile Smith-Row, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah, Joe Wallock and a number of them could be seen in the first team ahead of the coming season, especially if they are able to impress and prove their quality in the team.

Crystal Palace players Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have drawn the praise of the Arsenal manager ahead of the London Derby clash between the Gunners and the Eagles.

In his pre-match thoughts ahead of the game between Arsenal and Palace at the Emirates Stadium, Gunners boss Unai Emery lauded the two aforementioned players for their impact on the Eagles.

Arsenal and Unai Emery need a win at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday evening to maintain their spot in the Premier League top-four.

As a matter of fact, an Arsenal victory will catapult the Gunners above North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and into the third spot on the Premier League table.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Wilfried Zaha have both been linked with respective moves away from Crystal Palace ahead of this summer.

England junior international right-back Wan-Bissaka is the subject of transfer interest from clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea.

The young defender has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Crystal Palace after usurping experienced player Joel Ward as the first choice right-back at Selhurst Park.

On the other hand, Zaha has been linked with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint Germain (PSG), German Bundesliga chasers Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.

The Ivorian international has already talked up the need to play Champions League football meaning that he could be open to a transfer away from Palace.
