Confirmed: Chelsea Officially Announce Signing Of Alvaro Morata

After being heavily linked with joining Chelsea for much of this summer, Spanish star player Alvaro Morata has eventually become a Chelsea player and the premier league champions have announced the completed signing of the talented forward from Real Madrid on a five-year contract.

After finalising personal terms and completing his medical, Morata is now going to be Chelsea’s main man upfront in a busy campaign next season.

The now former Real Madrid striker is now Chelsea’s record purchase for an initial fee understood to be in the region of £60million, and potentially rising to £70 Million.

Despite being a superb striker, Alvaro was not a regular for Real Madrid last term as the club’s French boss Zinedine Zidane prefers fielding Benzema ahead of him.

And then, he had been linked with a handful of top clubs including Manchester United and AC Milan.

Nevertheless, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is known to be a big fan of Morata and was the one who signed him for Juventus back in 2014 when he was still at Turin.

But both of them didn’t have the opportunity to work together as Conte left the old ladies for the Italian national team.

The Spain international has already admitted that Conte’s presence at Stamford Bridge is a major factor in his decision to make the move to west London, hailing his new English club as the best team in England.
