United set to launch bid for 21-year-old defender

Nikola Milenkovic

Following the dismissal of the speculations linking Inter Milan star defender Milan Skriniar to the Old Trafford, there is a need to turn attention to other suitors so as to ensure a deal before the end of the season.

United had a slow start of the season under former manager Jose Mourinho as they are now in a risk of missing out of the Champions League next season which is why the new interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being handed funds to ensure new recruitments to change the fate of the club within the second half of the season.

A report claims that the Red Devils will now launch a bid for Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentina star defender Nikola Milenkovic in this January winter transfer window.

The 21-year-old is tipped to make big difference at the Old Trafford having established himself as one of the best in the Italian Serie A side.

United are yet to be comfortable with the quality of defenders in the team despite recording five successive wins across all competitions under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which is the reason why they are keen on the star player.

Meanwhile, United are now sixth place in the league table and four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
