United shift attention to £40m-rated star after missing out on Barcelona new man
English Premier League outfit Manchester United have long had their attention on Frankie De Jong who is one of Europe’s best players in the midfield but they missed out after the player penned his signature for Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona.
Now, the Red Devils are forced to look other direction and they are understood to have identified another star player and French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and they hope to land him before the end of this winter transfer window.
Houssem Aouar is not just a young star player but he has got a lot of footwork at his feet and has super eyes for passes that set up a striker in a position to score goals.
However, he is needed to join the Old Trafford as the Red Devils seek to add more strength and quality to their squad since losing out on De Jong.
The Red Devils are keen to land at least one world class player this term as interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed the financial boost to for some business.
Suggestions are that the former United forward is being rewarded for the good job done since he took over from the former boss Jose Mourinho.
