Arsenal boss Unai Emery has told the club’s transfer chiefs to sign Ousmane Dembele before the end of the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Gunners have bought five players this summer, but are still in the market for a winger, according to reports in various channels.
Emery is said to be a long term admirer of Dembele, and wants him to complete the jigsaw at the Emirates.
The Frenchman also fueled speculations following his victory with France at the World Cup, by posing for a picture with a couple of Arsenal players in London. Although, he has since then returned to training with Barcelona, as he hopes to impress Erneste Valverde at the Camp Nou.
The arrival of Malcom to Barcelona earlier this summer could reduce Dembele’s playing chances at Camp Nou, sparking more rumours that the player wants out because Valverde does not believe in his abilities.
Reports in Catalan outlet, Mundo Deportivo have claimed that the Gunners have continued their efforts to lure Dembele to the Emirates before the end of transfer business this summer, and have proposed an offer of an initial £8.9 million move with a mandatory option to make the deal permanent for £80.3 million next summer.
