Tottenham Hotspur star player Danny Rose gave an explosive interview earlier this month that has caused a rift after criticising the club’s approach in the transfer market.
And so, there were reports that the White Hart Lane club will demand a fee of £54million for him if discussions scheduled for the coming week fail to heal the rift caused by his outburst.
The Independent revealed that the left-back will hold a meeting with manager Mauricio Pochettino to clear the air after questioning his side’s ambition in the transfer window and making comments about his desire to move back to the north someday.
The player has emerged as an important member of the Tottenham team and is understood to be held highly in the club.
However, after the 27-year-old voiced his thoughts to the Sun, things are said to have gone sour between him and Mauricio Pochettino, thus, a meeting had been scheduled.
Rose has emerged as a target for Chelsea after the premier league champions have seen bids for Juventus star Alex Sandro turned down by the Serie A club earlier in the transfer window.
And the Independent insisted that should Spurs sanction Danny’s sale, they would demand the same fee they collected from Manchester City for Kyle Walker – £50m up front and £4m in potential add-ons.
Rose has made over 100 Premier League appearances for Tottenham and might see himself moving to Chelsea before next week.
