Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho provides injury update on some of his boys at Old Trafford following his defeat at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Some top Manchester United stars couldn’t feature for their side during the clash with the premier league champions, but Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who was a doubt for the game, replaced Phil Jones in the 62nd minute of the game.

The Belgium international was able to make an impact on the game with his limited chance and was hailed by his Portuguese manager after the game.

Jose also made it known that the tall midfielder only trained on Saturday and still made himself available for the clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The trio of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo were however not part of the party, but Mourinho is positive they can come back to help the club after the international break.

Speaking to MUTV following the defeat at West London, Jose admits there is a group of players at his side which he hope will recover as soon as possible – Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini.

Immediately after the international break, Jose will host Rafa Benitez’ Newcastle United at Old Trafford, before making a trip to Switzerland for the next Champions League group stage game with Basel the following week.
