Liverpool have finally completed a deal for Virgil Van Dijk, but it appears the Anfield club are still going to sign more players before the closure of the winter transfer window.
Monaco star player Thomas Lemar has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool since last year, and according to new reports, the Merseysiders are at the forefront of getting the player’s signature, alongside premier league rivals Arsenal.
L’Equipe made it known that both Liverpool and Arsenal have maintained their contact since last August to get Lemar’s signature.
Last month, there were reports that Jurgen Klopp’s side are going to make a move for the Frenchman during the winter transfer window, and that the player himself is interested in joining Liverpool.
After breaking world-records to persuade Southampton to sell Van Dijk a few days back, the Merseyside club won’t stop spending big fees to get any player they truly want, according to reports.
This season so far in the French Ligue 1, Thomas has played 13 games and has scored two goals with four assists.
He is said to have rejected a new deal with the French champions and is ready to move to the premier league, just like some of his former teammates like Tiemoue Bakayoko.
