The biggest Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan mistake made by Arsenal revealed

Jamie Carragher has opined that the English Premier League outfit Arsenal made a mistake to have invested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan about a year ago.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined the North London side in January last year in a swap deal that saw Chile international Alexis Sanchez go the other direction while the Gabon international had a big money move of £53 million from the German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in same January last year.

Jamie Carragher feels the transfer was not important, explaining that the Gunners only needed a defender and not attackers as he noted that the same mistake is already being repeated with the signature of Denis Suarez from Barcelona.

According to him, you have to invest 12 months before-hand for a defender and that is what is lacking at the moment with the Emirates Stadium outfit.

Jamie Carragher, therefore, stated that there is an opportunity for the Gunners to get things right again with the coming summer transfer window but that will be largely determined their stance at the end of the season.

He explained that the Gunners will be able to have good additions if they secure qualification to the Champions League next season as they will have more funds to spend.
