Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in January after failing to get into Sarri’s list of favourite players.

The Spaniard was a bit-part player under Conte throughout last season as the Italian ended the 2017-18 season with FA Cup trophy.

Under Sarri, things have gone from bad to worse for the former Barcelona man and he’s tipped to be moving out of the team as soon as the winter market begins.

To further complicate situations, reports are suggesting that Sarri is closer to signing Barca’s midfielder Denis Suarez who has fallen out of Valverde’s favour since the beginning of the season.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Blaugrana in the 2016-17 season but has only featured in just 44 matches. The player hasn’t played any League matches for the team so far and he is desperately in search of first-team actions, even if it requires leaving Camp Nou in January.

It is believed that Sarri is a longtime admirer of the brilliant midfielder, the Italian tried snapping him up from Villarreal during his days at Napoli but all his efforts were fruitless.

In Sarri’s last campaign as the Naples manager, he was so close to signing the player but Barcelona were fast enough to beat him to Suarez’s signature.

Should he eventually bring his longtime target to Stamford Bridge, that definitely will mark the end of 32-year-old Cesc Fabregas at the West London club.

The Spaniard is in the last year of his contract with the Blues, hence, it is certain the Italian manager is looking at the prospect of offloading him in January so as to avoid losing him as a free agent in the summer.

Cesc appears to be out of form and his place in the team is far from being secured and safe.

After 12 Premier League matches, the ageing midfielder was involved in just two matches and he’s still searching for his first goal of the season.

Despite his inability to get quality action on the field of play, Denis Suarez is definitely an upgrade to his compatriot. He is younger and more versatile than Fabregas, he will perfectly fit into Sarri’s tactics and playing style.

Sarri is blessed with so many midfielders but his desire to work with Denis Suarez would see two of the current midfielders leave Stamford Bridge in January.

It is obvious and confirmed that former Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is on his way out of the team after a very difficult start to his Chelsea career.

The Foxes are said to be in contention to re-sign the England international as Claude Puel hopes to improve his team in the second period of the season.

Loftus-cheek is highly rated by the former Napoli manager, though, Sarri is yet to fully trust his abilities and qualities.

Irrespective of his lack of maximum trust in the youngster, Sarri is likely to keep Loftus-cheek beyond January due to the upcoming busy festive period.

Kante, Jorginho and Kovac are all untouchables, thereby, leaving the Spaniard as the only midfielder to make way for his young compatriot.

Since switching to Chelsea from Barcelona in the 2014-15 season, Fabregas has played 137 matches, scoring 15 goals in the process.
