FC Basel successfully beat Manchester United last night in the Champions League at home, and the Swiss club are hopeful of finishing second in their group.

Although Man United are already through to the knockout stage of the tournament, some United fans are not happy with yesterday’s defeat and have expressed their annoyances via social media.

Man United star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now back from his injury and has played just over 30m for his side this term so far.

On Wednesday, the Swede legend participated in the game for only 16 minutes and couldn’t make any impact.

The Old Trafford club paid something huge to persuade Everton to sell Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window, and the Belgium international has inherited Ibrahimovic’s role at the club.

But Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, speaking recently about Zlatan, believes the former Barcelona man wants to be the first choice striker at the Theater of dreams.

“[Zlatan] still sees himself as the No. 1, he is going to push [Romelu].. to take that spot.” Steven said.

Ibra was the top scorer at Manchester United last season despite sustaining an injury before the season ended.

All through his career, he has never been a bench warmer, and he will definitely work hard to get a starting spot again this season.
