Chelsea have not had the best of season, and that has led to rumours that key changes could happen.
FA Cup success in sight
Although they have an opportunity to win the Emirates FA Cup next weekend against Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wasn’t able to seal UEFA Champions League football for next term as they ended in the fifth position, while they crashed out of Champions League at the round of 16.
As cited by The Daily Star, the Italian is facing a lot of question marks over his Chelsea future, but he was defiant despite the 3-0 loss to Newcastle on Sunday.
Napoli boss coming through
According to The Express, via Tuttosport, should Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri replace Antonio Conte, he might take Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford bridge with him in a deal worth about €50m.
Granted, the Argentine turns 31 later at the end of the year and he’s scored 282 goals in his entire career, with 23 of those goals this term.
Those goals helped the Serie A champions to a domestic double, and so the forward surely has the pedigree, experience, and winning mentality to flourish at any club with the current Napoli boss having coached the forward at Napoli before his move to Juve.
