According to the Sun, Chelsea are eyeing a new goalkeeper should Belgian star Thibaut Courtois leave the West London club in the summer to La Liga giants Real Madrid and it seems Joe Hart could be their shot-stopper.
Several rejections
The England international safe hand has experienced rejection for some time these last couple of seasons after Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admitted publicly he did not trust the shot-stopper and wanted a goalkeeper who could be part of build-up play from the back. Claudio Bravo was signed, but his below displays forced Guardiola to sign Ederson who is now City’s number one goalie.
Hart playing second fiddle
At London side West Ham United, the English goalie has lost his starting glove to Adrian since former Manchester United boss David Moyes was brought in as manager, and his playing future has been relatively bleak, making the safe hand’s links with the reigning Champions even more shocking.
Courtois could leave
The Blues are believed to be set to lose Thibaut Courtois either in the summer of the next, when the former Atletico shot stopper’s Chelsea contract expires, but are determined to make him the world’s highest-paid goalie with a £200,000-weekly plus add-ons.
Should he decide not to extend his contract, the Blues will go in for Joe Hart, surprisingly.
