‘He has a role to play’ – Man United set to make decision on prolific attacker

According to reports, Man United star Anthony Martial is part of manager Jose Mourinho’s plans at Old Trafford next term, unless the forward tries to force a transfer away from the club.

Martial still in Jose’s plans

Metro is claiming that the 22-year-old forward has a major role to play under manager Jose Mourinho, despite the severe uncertainty about his club future in recent months.

The youngster has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the club recently due to his lack of regular playing opportunity for United this season.

The France international forward only started 18 games of Man United’s 38 English Premier League matches, netting nine goals and providing five assists in the top flight this season.

Martial linked with Chelsea move

The same report says that Anthony Martial has been strongly linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Juventus recently as the rumour about his playing future continues.

However, the Red Devils are thought to be interested in keeping Martial beyond this summer.

The same report says that the player is pondering on his future at the club but he has not yet informed the club that he wants to leave the side.

His poor form this term caused the attacker to miss out on a spot in the France team for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
