Manchester United receive green light to seal Lorenzo Pellegrini’s signing.
According to reports coming from Italy, Manchester United have received a big boost in their pursuit of Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer.
The Italian star has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent times despite that he only rejoined Roma last year.
Pellegrini played 37 games in all competitions for the Serie A side and was able to catch the attention of various top sides with his impressive performances.
Italian news outlet Calciomercato are suggesting that Jose Mourinho’s side may have received a crucial green light to secure the player’s services ahead of the 2018/19 campaign after the club sporting director admitted they could lose him this summer.
But, do Manchester United really need another midfielder?
Despite having the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, and Scott McTominay, manager Jose Mourinho chose to sign Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk to replace Michael Carrick who hung his boots at the end of last season.
Is Manchester United losing another midfielder before the start of next season?
Obviously not Fellaini – the Belgium has agreed to extend his stay at the Theater of Dreams.
Perhaps, Ander Herrera – who has been linked with a move to Athletic Bilbao in the La Liga.
