Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez will remain at the club despite late interest from Manchester United, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has been a subject of interest from a couple of clubs this summer, after coming to reveal his intentions to leave the King Power stadium following their dismal campaign last season.
The likes of Arsenal and Roma have been tipped to make moves for the Algerian this summer, but have been pushed back by Leicester’s asking price, with reports that the Serie A side had two bids rejected for the player while Arsenal monitored his situation for some time before moving on with other transfer plans.
Reports in RMC Sport claim that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is plotting a late move for Riyad Mahrez as the transfer window draws to a close.
However, the 26-year-old has now relaxed his stance to leave the Foxes this summer and will remain there for another season, with hopes of getting better prospects elsewhere.
Mourinho has been chasing a left winger all summer, and having failed to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan; he has gone after other targets since then.
Gareth Bale has also been tipped to make a move to Old Trafford next summer, after his failed move to the club this summer.
