According to the Mirror, North London club Arsenal have a deal on the table to sign Thomas Lemar as PSG plot a whopping £70m swoop for Chilean Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists the Gunners will not sell the Chilean this summer transfer window, despite the player being in the last 12 months of his contract and is showing no intentions of signing an extension any time soon.
Arsenal hierarchy’s feel parting ways with him will do more harm to the club than good as it means the North London club stand a chance of not playing in the Champions League again next season, which would have a big effect on the club financially.
The Mirror, however, claims the French club are set to test Arsenals resolve and hope to lure the Gunners into a deal by submitting a whopping £70m offer for Arsenal man Alexis Sanchez while they are also prepared to meet his £400,000weekly wage demands.
PSG feels this should be enough to secure a deal as it means the Gunners get well compensated for a superstar player who’ll be available for free at the end of next season, while they also guarantee Sanchez won’t end up at a Premier League.
