According to reports, Arsenal are battling Serie A side Napoli and Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg for unsettled Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.
Rugani, 23, has not been a regular starter for Serie A giants Juventus and has been linked several times away from the Turin club.
Those transfer links away have continued, as per Calciomercato, Premier League giant Arsenal also wants Rugani, Serie A side Napoli and Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg.
The same report claims that although the defender has been involved in Juventus’ Serie A league games so far, head coach Massimiliano Allegri does not trust the player to play in the big matches.
As such, he was not included in Juventus’ recent UEFA Champions League group stage game against FC Barcelona, which they lost by 4 goals.
The defender into limelight while on loan at Serie A side Empoli during the 2013/14 League season and 2014/15 League seasons. He played 81 matches across both seasons before returning to Turin.
However, since that season, then he has only played 44 matches. The trio of Giorgio Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli proved to be too strong a competition.
Bonucci was sold to Serie A giant AC Milan during the recently shut transfer window, which may have given the Arsenal target a route into the Juventus starting eleven.
He’s featured in every minute of Juventus’ opening three Serie A matches so far.
