Liverpool star playmaker Philippe Coutinho is set to “give everything” for the Reds after seeing his proposed summer transfer move to La Liga giant FC Barcelona fall through.

The Brazil international midfielder missed Liverpool’s start to the season with a back injury amid rumours over his future at Anfield Stadium, as per Liverpool Echo.

Spanish giant FC Barcelona eventually had three offers rejected by the Reds as they held firm on their stance to keep hold of last campaign’s 14-goal top scorer.

Philippe Coutinho returned to Liverpool’s training ground – Melwood for the first time since the end of the summer transfer window last week Thursday, and defender Alberto Moreno is happy to have his teammate back in the team.

“I (Alberto Moreno) missed him (Coutinho), he (Coutinho) is probably my best friend (pal) at the club (Liverpool). I (Moreno) was very delighted to have him (Coutinho) back (at Liverpool),” Moreno said.

“It was tough for him (Coutinho). He (Coutinho) had a bad time but all of that is over now, and I (Moreno) know that he (Coutinho) will give everything for Liverpool (football club).”

The Liverpool and Spin Left back was pleased to see the Reds fend off interest from FC Barcelona, and thinks the playmaker will give Klopp’s team a massive injection of quality on his return to the club.

The South American is expected back into the team for the visit of Spanish side Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League tonight.

The 25-year-old’s last match for Liverpool was the 3-0 friendly loss to Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich on August 1.
