Deal done!! United to conclude on return of former player

Rio Ferdinand

It has been reported that English Premier League outfit Man United are already concluding in their plans to bring back legendary defender Rio Ferdinand to the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ferdinand who left United after playing more than 300 times for the Old Trafford club over the course of 12 seasons has been tipped to return to the club to fill the vacant position of a sitting director.

The Red Devils have been in search of a sporting director as they have created the office in their bid to restructure the club so as to meet up with the requirements in the transfer window.

The need for restructuring and a sporting director became necessary after corner manager Jose Mourinho had an outburst with the club’s executive vice-chairman over his failure to sanction the recruitment of some players in the last summer transfer window.

This, therefore, called for the need to have an office that will take responsibility for recruitments but to also work with the manager.

It is suggested that Rio Ferdinand has got a fish knowledge and history of the club which will help him to identify players that will be fit to work under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, the Red Devils already have a transfer kitty of about £200 million to engage in the coming summer transfer window as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already hinted that there will be a massive overhaul in his team while new faces would be seen in the coming season.
