Philippe Coutinho

Time is running out for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho at the club following his latest disappearing act in the Spanish La Liga home clash with Valencia at the Nou Camp on Saturday night.

Coutinho, 26, was largely anonymous as Barcelona came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Valencia courtesy the brilliant display from Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.

Former Inter Milan star Coutinho was substituted in the 84th minute of the game with compatriot Malcom coming on in his place.

Barcelona fans took to social media to express their disappointment with Philippe Coutinho and that it’s now or never for him.

His display against Valencia is the latest in the series of disappointments and he has not even gone close to the huge expectations from fans.

The Brazilian player could be sold in the summer if he continues to give below-par displays in the colours of the Blaugrana.

Premier League sides like Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with Philippe Coutinho who has a good chance to move back to the top flight of English football.

French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are also interested in the player.

Barcelona signed Philippe Coutinho after they reached an agreement of £142m for his transfer.
