Alessio Romagnoli

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reported to have told the club’s management of his wish to have AC Milan central defender Alessio Romagnoli in the January transfer window.

The Portuguese boss is desperate to add more options having realized that the second half of the Premier League season promises to be a more difficult and intense one.

To be able to meet up with the challenge and competition, the former Chelsea boss is making efforts to equip his team with more defenders.

It is no longer news that Mourinho remains a manager with a more reserved tactic that does less of attack and more of defending and he has not hidden this fact.

AC Milan central defender Alessio Romagnoli is interesting the United boss and he could be on his way to the Old Trafford but West London side Chelsea are believed to be interested in the player as well.

Report says manager Maurizio Sarri has already penned down Alessio Romagnoli in his wish list and is also considering making a move in the January window.

Meanwhile, Alessio Romagnoli and Daniele Rugani are both reported to be on the wishlist of the West London boss with bids already prepared for both which keeps United in a position to fight for his signature.
