Ozil proved his passion but…. Graeme Souness

Graeme Souness has stated that Ozil proved his passion to play by the attitude he gave to the manager when he was subbed off in the Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

Ozil was made to make way for Danny Welbeck in the 20th minute to the end of the game and he obviously looked unhappy. This according to Souness is a display of passion by the German.

Souness stated that it was his first time to be seeing the former Real Madrid star have a display of such for being subbed out of a game.

Arsenal threw away a 2-1 lead to a penalty which was scored by Luka Milvojevic, the second in the game and that was a hard pill to swallow by the Gunners captain.

However, Souness laments that the German man has got a bundle of talents in him but he has failed to ensure it has an impact in his game.

He argues that a player like Ozil should be able to win games for his side but he has struggled to maintain the consistency in doing that.

Souness stated what is needed of the German playmaker is to always show character each time his side do not play well.
