Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has pleaded for a change in the narrative about Manchester United player Paul Pogba, stressing that the focus should be on his good performance and nothing more.

He made this claim after the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Everton with the French Midfielder missing a penalty in the game.

Redknapp expects most of the analysis to be centred on the player’s penalty miss and not his good performance he had in the game which he says is unfair to Pogba.

The Liverpool legend stated that the World Cup winner is the most criticized player in the league but vowed not to go that direction as he showers praise on him.

However, Pogba was on the scoresheet as he ended up scoring another goal to add to the one scored by his French counterpart Anthony Martial.

Pogba is gradually settling down at United as he has been instrumental especially in their recent games after the international break.

It would be recalled that the player was unsettled by the rift he had with manager Jose Mourinho which prompted a decision by him to leave the club.

Pogba was therefore linked to a return back to Juventus with Barcelona also speculated to be monitoring the situation with the player.
