It’s been a tough time for Arsenal faithful’s on and off the field, but reports suggest they could be given a massive boost before the weekend courtesy of Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal have fallen to the sixth position on the English topflight log and are eight points below the top four, they were kicked out of the Emirates FA Cup and seem set to offload Alexis Sanchez who is ready to join Manchester United, as reported by the Telegraph.
As per Bild, Aubameyang’s father, who is also his representative, has allegedly flown to the City of London to agree on a £53million transfer from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for the player, as reported by The Sun.
Further, it’s reported that coach Peter Stoger has made a major concession over the 28-year-old African as he has somewhat admitted defeat in convincing the striker to stay as he has been unimpressed by the attitude of the former African footballer of the year.
Dortmund’s frustration is understandable, as the forward is an integral piece in their squad, netting 141 goals in 212 matches for the German outfit.
Last season, he netted 40 goals in 46 matches, he’s scored 21 goals in 23 outings so far this campaign, and so letting him leave will be a big blow to the team.
