Arsenal have started talks to see Barcelona forward Arda Turan arrive at the Emirates this summer, according to reports.
The Turkish ace has been frustrated at his lack of chances under Luis Enrique and is reportedly angling for a move in search of better first team opportunities.
Reports in Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim that the Gunners have held talks on the possibility of landing Turan this summer and could be an ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is set to leave the club.
The report have it that the 30-year-old’s agent has held talks with the Gunners about joining them this summer as Turan seeks first team opportunities elsewhere.
It is understood that Arsene Wenger is keen on adding fresh legs to his current squad this summer and has identified Turan as a viable option next season.
Barcelona are also believed to be resigned on the idea of losing Turan this summer but will hold out for a fee around £21m for the player despite being surplus to requirement at the club.
The former Atletico Madrid star joined Barca in 2015 after establishing himself as one of the best attackers in the Spanish La Liga but has failed to nail a starting spot due to the brilliance of Messi, Suarez and Neymar
