According to reports, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made it known to the club’s management that his No. 1 target in the upcoming January transfer window is Valencia’s Carlos Soler.
The Portuguese tactician intends signing four players during the past summer transfer window, but he could only manage to bring in three – Victor Lindelof (from Benfica), Romelu Lukaku (from Everton) and Nemanja Matic (from Chelsea).
Jose missed out on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, and his side are now lacking a bit of firepower in the absence of Frenchman Paul Pogba.
And now, it was made known that the former Chelsea boss will push for Carlos to solve the problem.
Soler, though plays more as a playmaker, has been very much impressive since establishing himself in the first team at Valencia.
In 11 league appearances so far this term, the 20-year-old has scored a goal and has provided four assists.
He is a regular starter at Valencia as his side have found their way to the second spot of the La Liga table.
The Independent also made it known that the player would command a fee of around £40 million, although Valencia might be forced to offset the fee if Manchester United include Andreas Pereira in the deal.
Pereira is currently on loan at the La Liga club, and he has admitted he is happy playing for them.
