Deal Almost Done! Arsenal closing in on deal for Nabil Fekir

According to British media reports, Arsenal are in advanced discussions to sign Nabil Fekir from French Ligue 1 side Lyon in a move worth in excess of £60million.

The Daily Star is claiming that Arsenal are interested in bringing the 24-year-old attacker to The Emirates Stadium as they get set for the possible exits of Germany international Mesut Ozil and Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.

The same publication claims that the move is “almost done” and the development could allow the former Barcelona star to leave the North London club in the winter transfer window.

The transfer would see Lyon star Fekir link up with his former team-mate in Lyon Alexandre Lacazette, who joined Arsenal from the French Ligue 1 side last summer transfer window.

The same article suggests that the Gunners would be ready to accept transfer fees of about £30million for both forward Alexis Sanchez and midfielder Mesut Ozil in the winter transfer window.

Both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are out of deal next summer and it looks like neither player are interested in signing new contracts with the north London club.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have the small issue of their crucial derby showdown with local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal head into that match looking to return to winning ways after the humiliating 3-1 defeat to Manchester City before the break.
