Mourinho Sends Messages About Pogba’s Injury: It Is ‘Good’

It appears Paul Pogba will have to undergo surgery for his hamstring injury after his manager Jose Mourinho admits the issue could be a long-term one.

The Portuguese tactician, speaking recently about the midfielder’s injury, said the player’s current issues could be seen as a sort of blessing for some other players at Old Trafford.

Pogba has been sidelined since he was forced off during the 3-0 win over Basel in the Champions League, and despite that he recently posted a video on his social media page that suggests he is getting better, it appears everything is far from being fine.

And despite his side’s initial hopes of him returning back to action early, it is understood that Pogba may now need to undergo surgery soon, but Jose seems to be seeing things from a more positive perspective.

Speaking to pressmen about Pogba and the rest of his currently injured men, the former Chelsea boss made it known point blank that he never miss any of the injured guys, but that their injuries will give the rest of the fringe players the chance to prove themselves better.

“It is an opportunity for others [and] a moment for [them] to step up and to get the chance. So I think that is good.” the manager said.

Without Pogba and the other injured guys, Manchester United are still on fire and were able to thrash Crystal Palace in their last premier league game last weekend.
