Manchester United manager is being frank to himself and to the fans about the chances of his side in the 2018/2019 season.

United will be challenging in four competitions, including the Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League.

The two consecutive EPL win and three in wins, including the Champions League for the Mourinho men have breath relieve to the team but the Portuguese manager says he can’t be deceived not to know that it will be a difficult season for him.

The Old Trafford side now have Wolves as the mountain to cross this Saturday (today) to yet stamp their authority as a team ready for the season’s challenge.

Admitting that he is optimistic and positive with the recent performance of his team, there are still lots of things to be worried about.

The former Chelsea boss said the level of competition from the Liverpool squad, City squad, Chelsea squad, Tottenham squad and Arsenal will make it difficult for his side.

He said his side will be a better team but might not have the same number of points like was  won last season.

However, Mourinho says the difficult season is not going to be peculiar to United  alone because all teams have truly improved.

He also doesn’t see Manchester City have a smooth run as they had last season.

Meanwhile, United had a slow start of the season, losing two consecutive EPL games, a development that brought unrest to the club.

They looked to have bounced back after a 3-0 win against Young Boys in the Champions League.
