According to new reports, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho no longer thinks it is necessary to sign a marquee attacker due to the improvements in the form of Anthony Martial.

It was made known that the Portuguese manager is so much impressed with the Frenchman’s form in the past months, and has been prompted to re-think his Man United transfer plans.

Martial was part of the squad that won Watford on Tuesday night, and he was even on the score sheet at Vicarage Road.

He has now scored six goals so far in the premier league, and he really troubled the Watford defense during the premier league midweek game.

However, the Frenchman struggled vehemently last season, and even Mourinho was keen on signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window to replace him.

But, The Independent made it known that Anthony’s superb form this term, as well as his ability to adjust to Jose’s style, have won him the backing of the former Chelsea boss.

It was added that Mourinho is no longer obsessed with signing a new left winger, and that Martial is on the right path to becoming one of the biggest players in the world of football if he can continue with his impressive performances.

However, Real Madrid are said to be keeping tabs on him after losing Kylian Mbappe to PSG this summer.
