The latest reports from Portuguese media portal Corrieo da Manha claim that Manchester City are the new favorites to sign the midfielder.
It was also revealed that Manchester City director Txiri Begiristain met with Sporting Lisbon sporting director Hugo Viana to discuss the possibility of a transfer to the Premier League.
Manchester United were the favorites but it seems like their city rivals have overtaken them in the race to sign the hugely talented Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese international player has scored 16 goals and also provided 11 others for his Sporting Lisbon team this term.
