According to Daily Telegraph correspondent Matt Law, Premier League Champions Chelsea will do battle with Premier League trio of Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester United and Liverpool to sign Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon.
The report claims that Sessegnon is identified as the proper replacement for Danny Rose at Tottenham Hotspurs but the North London side will not have it the way they want it in the race to sign the 17-year-old.
The Fulham left-back has had a bright start to the Championship season at the club, having netted four goals and made two assists in 21 matches. 14 of those championship starts have been at left fullback but seven of them have come further up front as a winger.
He netted a hat-trick against Sheffield in a 5-4 away victory last week, and he would undoubtedly suit the wing back role employed by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Whether the starlet will be a January transfer target for former Juventus and Italy boss, Antonio Conte, we’ll wait and see.
The Telegraph estimates that Championship side Fulham would only consider offers above £30million, and if reports making the rounds are to be believed, the Blues are still pursuing a move for Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro who plays the same role as Sessegnon, claiming the England U-19 international is not a major priority for the West London club.
