Mourinho Drops Hint He Could Sign World Cup Impressive Star This Summer

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has heaped a lot of praise on Russian star player Aleksandr Golovin after his impressive World Cup performance against Saudi Arabia on Thursday at Moscow.

Amid rumours linking the player with a move to Manchester United, manager Jose Mourinho was in Russia where he watched how Aleksandr helped his country defeat Saudi Arabia on the opening day of the tournament.

When Russia clashed with Austria in an international friendly game some days back, Mourinho was spotted at the stadium, and it is believed he intentionally travelled to watch Golovin.

On Thursday, at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Golovin showed some class by scoring a fantastic free-kick and setting up three goals for his teammates.

Apart from Manchester United, the 22-year-old has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Juventus, but it appears Mourinho is already strategising how to get the player’s signature ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Speaking after the opening game, the former Real Madrid boss praised Golovin and tagged him ‘a player that gives dynamic to the team’.

Although the Old Trafford club have signed a midfielder already this summer – in the person of Fred, they are likely to buy a second to replace Marouane Fellaini who has failed to extend his stay at the Theater of Dreams.
