According to reports, Chelsea are considering a move for AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma, in the event that Belgium international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois leaves the club.
Top quality safe hand
The Chelsea goalkeeper has been a vital figure for the side since he came back from a loan spell at La Liga side Atletico Madrid back in 2014, winning two English Premier League titles in the last three seasons.
The goalie has been a key part of Chelsea’s recent success, and so ideally, they’d certainly want to keep him for the foreseeable future.
Chelsea keen on Milan star
However, as cited by talkSPORT, it’s suggested with ongoing fears that the 25-year-old might leave for La Liga giants Real Madrid, the Blues have set their sights on AC Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma as a possible replacement.
To Chelsea’s credit, it’s not bad to be looking toward the 19-year-old who has already made more than 100 appearances for his Italian side, producing numerous top performances to show great maturity, class and quality at such a very young age with his entire career still ahead of the shot-stopper.
As reported by Calciomercato, Napoli safe hand Pepe Reina is closing in on a move to Milan, and so that will raise concern for supporters over whether the veteran goalkeeper is coming in as second choice for Donnarumma, or to replace the youngster ahead of a potential departure this summer window.
