Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has blasted Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for launching an attack on teammate Gareth Bale.

In an exclusive interview with Goal, footballer turned pundit Jenas revealed that Thibaut Courtois was out of order for criticising Welsh international Gareth Bale over his social status at the club.

Former Chelsea shot-stopper had criticised Gareth Bale as he claimed that the Welshman prefers to play golf instead of attending team meetings.

According to Courtois, Gareth Bale is not a sociable person.

Thibaut Courtois joined Real Madrid from Chelsea at the start of the season in a £35m deal with Croatian international Mateo Kovacic moving in the other direction on a temporary deal until this summer.

Belgian international goalkeeper Courtois has been able to fight off competition from Keylor Navas for the number one spot in the Real Madrid goal.

Courtois, Bale and other Real Madrid players are under immense pressure to perform after they lost two successive El Clasico meetings with Barcelona in the space of three days in two different competitions.

Gareth Bale was booed by his own fans while he was being substituted during the 1-0 loss to Barcelona in their Spanish La Liga meeting at the weekend.
