Manchester United fans are still expecting a big news before the closure of the ongoing transfer window, and it appears something is at the door already.
Manager Jose Mourinho is understood to be keen on bringing in new legs to Old Trafford to enable him to overtake league leaders Manchester City before the end of the season.
And as far as Manchester United’s transfers are concerned, Real Madrid star player Marco Asensio is back in the lime light.
Don Balon made it known that top clubs across Europe are interested in getting the player’s signature, but Manchester United have placed a big deal on the table.
Asensio is a talented player who is touted to go beyond the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the nearest future. Unfortunately, it appears he isn’t valued as much at the Bernabeu currently.
He keeps struggling for regular first-team actions under manager Zinedine Zidane this season, and has only started just 9 La Liga games this season so far.
Despite his lack of chances, he has managed to score 7 goals and has provided 3 assists to his teammates in 26 games in all competitions.
His current contract at Real Madrid is meant to expire in 2023, and it’s with a huge release clause of €500 million.
