Emerging reports claim that English Premier League outfit Man United risk losing out on their number one target and Ajax central defender Matthijs de Ligt in this summer transfer window.

This is after it was revealed that Matthijs de Ligt has an existing agreement in place to join Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona.

It is claimed that the Red Devils and French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain are the two clubs standing in between the deal.

There is no doubt that Man United are desperate to land the Dutch defender and they are reported to be ready to break the bank for his signature.

Football reporter Oriol Domenech made comments on the future of the Ajax ace while appearing on Spanish show Club de la Mitjanit on Monday night.

According to him, Matthijs de Ligt already has an agreement with the Spanish giants and he knows everything about the deal if he decides to join the club.

He went further to disclose that the agreement between Ajax and Barcelona is complete as he further claimed that a fee of £67m (€75m) has been finalized on the negotiation table.

The decision is now left to the 19-year-old to make, and he has already said that he will take his time to ensure the right decision is made.
