Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has called Jose Mourinho to demand a move away from the Old Trafford, according to reports.
The 27-year-old has had reduced role with the Red Devils since the arrival of Mourinho last season as the Portuguese shuttled the Daley Blind, Ashley Young and Darmian at the left back position, sparking reports that United will swoop for a new fullback this summer.
Italian giants, Juventus are said to be in the market for a new fullback following reports that Dani Alves will be moving to Manchester City this summer. There are suggestions that the Serie A champions are considering a move for the former Torino star.
Reports in the Sun claim that Darmian has phoned Mourinho to inform him about his decision to join this summer in order to get more first-team opportunities.
It is understood that the fullback is keen on getting better chances at Juventus due to the upcoming World Cup in Russia next year and believes he cannot get playing opportunities under Jose Mourinho next season, despite reports that the United boss wants to keep him at the Old Trafford having seen him prove his quality during the latter stages of the last season.
